Staph Infection Symptoms.

Staph infections are usually characterised by a pus filled pimple, abscess, boils, furuncles, infected acne, swollen red skin, carbuncles, swelling around open wounds, blistering skin on young children and swelling around the eyelid, armpits or groin

The symptoms experienced by the individual would depend on the type of staph infection acquired as symptoms would vary with different staph infections. In Folliculitis, a condition where the hair follicles get infected symptoms would include the presence of white dotted pimples at the bottom of the hair shaft.

In furuncles and boils which can be caused by staph bacteria symptoms are indicated by the presence of pus filled boils that may cause pain and may grow bigger before eventually breaking and draining out the contained pus,

In Impetigo which usually affects children, symptoms would include the appearance of tiny blisters on the skin which later forms a honey colored crusty layer. The blisters may tend to cause a bit of itching and scratching which could cause it to spread to other areas and cause more blisters to appear.

In Cellulitis, another infection caused by staph bacteria, swelling and redness of the skin around the infected area may be seen along with fever and nausea. During the course of the infection small red dotted spots may also begin to appearon the surface of the infected person's skin.
